February Luxe Lust List

I don’t know what’s come over me lately, but I’ve been absolutely drooling over so many things I clearly can’t afford…oops! I think as I approach 30, my spending habits have gone from buying many lower cost things, to wanting to save my money and buy less things but of better quality. I think this also has something to do with my major clear out and my efforts to live a more minimalist life…!

Bedroom - Moodboard & Ideas

I loved putting together the living room moodboard and ideas so much that I think I'll make them for the rest of the house - hopefully it's remotely interesting for you guys to read & see! I'm obsessed with interior design at the moment, and I promised myself I'd write about whatever I'm passionate about, so here I go!

I'd love the whole house to be heavily nature and plan inspired, with lots of lovely natural textures and colours, and of course lots of plants (there are 9 in the house up to now...)! Where the living room was a lot more mid-century inspired, I'd like the bedroom to be a little more Parisian and relaxing, with lots of soft & cosy colours and textures, and a little bit of my favourite Scandinavian style thrown in for good measure - of course!

I found this beautifully simple floral print on Honeymoon Hotel, among all the other amazing botanical prints they have, and I absolutely love it! I've used it as the inspiration for the colours and style of the rest of the room that'll I'll try hard to achieve!

We already have a pretty un-assuming white minimal bed, so the next big part of the room that I wanted to look for were bed side tables. I found some gorgeous ones online at my FAVOURITE furniture site at the mo, Swoon Editions. They have a marble top and the rest is a stunning mango wood - 'Swoon' indeed!

I'd also like to scout out some super-fluffy Mongolian sheepskin (faux of course) cushions in a lovely blush colour (let me know if you've seen any!), as well as a lot more brass details, like this beautiful mirror from!

I'd love to know what you think of my plans so far - let me know in the comments! I'd also like to actually show you all some photos of our new pad, so I can compare the changes once we start decoration properly - let me know if you'd be interested in seeing some, or if it would just be plain boring!

Spring Makeup & Skincare Wishlist

I've been culling my makeup stash a lot since moving, and if there's one revelation that's hit me by doing this it's that quantity is definitely not better than quality when it comes to make up & skincare! I turn 30 at the beginning of October this year, so I'm using that as the push I need to finally stop hoarding mountains of mediocre make up, and finally settle on a 'capsule' collection that'll be good to my inevitable aging skin, while saving me space and time! I think I've decided on changing this small collection seasonally, so as not to deprive myself, and also so I'm not using out of date cosmetics with no substitues to fall back on!

Review | Anastasia Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Pomade

Well, I've been using the Anastasia Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Pomade for about a year now, so I thought it was about time I give it the raving review it here we go!

I ordered this about a year ago after trying the Brow Wiz, and hating it...! I must admit, when it arrived I had little faith in it, but it very quickly proved itself to me. Now whenever I wear it, I absolutely love staring at my brows in the mirror!

Living Room // Moodboard & Ideas

Well, it's official - we're finally homeowners (eeeeeks!)

I don't mean to go on and on about it, but it's taken us so long to finally get here, and I'm genuinely proud of Rich and myself for finally being adults, ha! The planning for the decor has been happening for MONTHS, but now we're finally in and we can get a more realistic view of what dreams are realistic and which are definitely not!

Update - We finally moved!

Well, we did it - it actually finally happened... WE MOVED!

I think I posted my homeware wishlist about 6 months ago when we first started looking to buy our first home, and fianlly here we are! I have no intention of sugar coating it - it was a long, expensive, highly stressful and sometimes depressing process, but all in all I'm so glad we did it! We have little to no money to furnish it at the moment, or make the renovations and changes I want to make, but I'm just happy to have our own home! Don't get me wrong, renting had it's perks and buying a home isn't for everyone, but the feeling of getting home after a long day and opeing the front door to the home you own is an amazing feeling...

I've been buying lots of little things while we've been waiting for the big day, and putting them in their new spots has been such a lovely feeling! We've bought an old mid-terraced house, so the rooms and ceiling are huge, so we really had to think a little bigger when it came to buying home stuff. I've got a few lovely tall plant dotted around the place that have instantly made the whole house feel super homely! There's also a lot (like, freakin' loads!) of gold! I'd like to get a little bar cart for our dining room, and I've already purchased lots of cute bottles of booze and all the cocktail making equipment I'll ever need - party, anyone?!
