Home Improvements with PIB

I’ve been spending a lot of time on home improvements lately (finally!) and have been on the hunt for some original pieces of furniture and décor in an attempt to get away from having a home that looks like everybody else – it’s more difficult than it sounds!

I’d been searching the internet high and low when I was kindly contacted by PIB who really kindly offered to send me a piece from their website to review. I picked a gorgeous ceiling light to go in our dining room and I am so happy with it! I chose the Borajupe pendant because of its size and colour. We have a terraced house with fairly high ceiling, so the larger diameter so perfect for filling the space without looking insignificant.

The shade of the light is a really solid, well-made metal that is a cool tone grey, looking almost blue in some lights. The wiring is covered with rope cord with a wire support to help with the weight of the fixture. We have dark teal walls, with a lot of wood and marble in the room – the more industrial metal was a great addition for balancing the textures of the room – I’m really impressed with how will if fit in with the existing décor. Just a note however, that it is definitely more blue toned than grey, but that’s find for the room I’ve put it in.

I was really impressed with the PIB website – it was full of really unique pieces that are a real breath of fresh air for someone like me who doesn’t always want to buy from IKEA or Homesense (no shade!). The prices are above average with some pieces costing a lot more than I’d ever pay, but when reading the specs for a few pieces I could tell this was more than justified because of the materials they were using.

I really enjoyed browsing the site and will no doubt buy from them in the future – I’d definitely recommend taking a look if you’re also making home improvements! You can find them here: www.pib-home.co.uk.
