I went a little bit crazy with buying new products lately…ooops! You can see my haul video on my YouTube channel here.
I bought quite a lot of things that I’ve be coveting for a while now; some of them really haven’t impressed me (that’s a story for another day!) but some of them I can already tell are going to be my new favourites! So, I thought I’d she them with you guys;
1. NYX Soft Matte Lip Creme (Abu Dabi)
This is a gorgeous colour and a really comfortable wear for being a liquid lipstick. It has about 4-5 hours of non-flake wear on me, but I’m sure this would be different for every person.
2. Rimmel Scanaleyes Matte Cream Shadow Stick (015 Trespassing Taupe)
After being really into shimmer eyeshadows lately, I’ve only just started to give matte shades a chance again. I’m in LOVE with the 24hr Tattoo cream eyeshadows, so I was hoping and praying this one would be good too. And it definitely didn’t disappoint! This shade is a great matte grey-y brown, that has amazing lasting power! It blends beautifully into powder eyeshadows too!
3. KIKO False Lashes Volume & Definition Top Coat Mascara
Oh my gosh – I can’t believe I got this for £3.90! It has a great wand that separates the lashes really, really well. It is intended to be a topcoat, but I think it’s great on it’s own! The mascara comes off pretty easily without too much tug and pull, and is a really ‘black’ black – my new favourite!
4. KIKO Long Lasting Eyeshadow Stick (06)
I got shade 07 in this too, but I’ve not used it yet. This is a cream stick eyeshadow and it’s so silky! The shimmer is perfect and looks really expensive, in my opinion! This was the first time I shopped at KIKO, but I was blown away by how great the quality of the products were for such reasonable prices.
5. NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick (Softly Spoken)
Just like the Matte Lip Cream, this wears really, really nicely! After buying a MAC matte lipstick (Retro Matte Lip Creme, in Lady Be Good) and being really disappointed with how drying it was almost instantly, NYX saved the day! Again this is the first time I’ve shopped for this brand but the quality is great for the tiny prices. This is a beautiful deep rose colour, and I think it looks great with pale skin.
6. Soap & Glory Archery Brow 2 in 1 Filling Pencil & Brush (Hot Chocolate)
The narrow-ness of the tip is genius! I can draw-in lots of really thin hairs into my brows without it looking like I’ve applied it with a crayon! I’m not totally sold on using powder in my brows yet, so this pencil is perfect for me! It has a really handy spooly at the opposite end.
7. Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation (51 Light Vanilla)
This is a product that’s been pretty cult in the beauty world for a long time. I’ve been meaning to buy and try it for a long time, but it never seemed to be available in my shade… until now! And I can honestly say it’s definitely worth the hype. The formula is so silky, but it does’t move too much on my face throughout the day. I can’t say that I agree completely with the 16 hr lasting claim, but I’ve worn it for a couple of days now and it lasts for a solid 7-8 hours and still looks great. Even throughout the day, when my facial oils are resurfacing, it’s seems to balance itself out against them and still looks perfectly glowing when I come to take it off at the end of the day.
8. KIKO Wet & Dry Eyeshadow (20 High Pigment)
Warm toned eyeshadows are definitely my jam at the moment, so when I saw this gorgeous colour I just had to try it! Like I already mentioned, the prices are great for the quality of KIKO products, and having the choice to wear it wet or dry (totally different effects!) is an added bonus!
9. Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer (Light)
It’s thick, creamy and has a really nice coverage. It’s fair to say it’s not great for the under eye area but for discolouration and blemishes on the face it is flaw-less. Such an underrated beauty product, in my opinion. Like I mentioned about the S&G Archery eyebrow pencil, this brand is pretty new to my beauty stash but I love it already!
10. One Heck of a Blot Foundation (Fair Enough)
Just like the Kick Ass concealer, this foundation packs quite a punch! Not really for those days that I’m looking for a barely-there make-up look, but when I want to look truly flawless I go straight for this little beauty! The superblur feature is unreal! A medium to full coverage foundation, that I think is best applied with a makeup sponge for extra flawlessness!
That’s it for my 10 new product favourites! I’ll be sure to share the disappointing ones with you guys in another post.
Be sure to let me know your thoughts on these products if you’ve tried them yourself!
